Raw coconut has a high fibre which is a natural remedy that helps in preventing constipation. The fiber content of it improves digestion by adding bulk to the stool, which helps to move food through the digestive tract and also helps in the removal of wastes from our body.
Mature coconut has high levels of fiber and oil and they function like probiotic providing relief from digestive issues like bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhoea or cramping.
It has antiviral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects.
Specific fats (caprylic, capric and lauric fatty acids) found in coconut are antibacterial, antiviral and antiprotozoal, helping to strengthen the immune system and destroy pathogens.
The fat in coconut helps to lower bad cholesterol levels and to increase good cholesterol levels .Thus coconut lowers risk for heart disease
